- Due to the impact of heavy rain, by the afternoon of August 21, many roads in Tri Le commune had landslides. Flooding has isolated many villages and damaged many properties and crops. Local authorities and forces are urgently implementing recovery work and mobilizing households to evacuate to safety.
Specifically, as of the afternoon of August 21, there were 16 landslides on the roads in Tri Le commune, with a total volume of soil and rock estimated at about 350m³; causing many villages to be isolated. Main roads such as District Road 59 in the direction of Ban Gieng - Deo Cuom and District Road 55 had many landslides, causing the commune to be isolated from the outside. As of 4:00 p.m. on August 21, Tri Le commune was still isolated, and vehicles could not enter or exit.
Not only that, prolonged heavy rains caused 80 hectares of rice and crops in Tri Le commune to be flooded; soil and rocks slid down behind the houses of 25 households in the area. Local authorities have propagated, mobilized, and instructed 8 households in the area to evacuate from the dangerous area on the morning of August 21.
The Party Committee, government, and forces of Tri Le commune went to directly inspect the landslide locations; Mobilize on-site vehicles and forces to handle fallen trees causing traffic congestion; place warning signs, advise and remind people not to approach landslide areas to avoid the risk of loss of life and property.
