Today, it seems that the entire cyberspace is united in “covering” the national flag and images of military parades and marches. Everywhere, the spirit of national pride is raised with a bright red color.

This special April will go down in history just like 50 years ago, when the South was completely liberated and the country was completely unified. If in the past, the army and people of the whole country burst into joy on the day of victory, now the young generation is seething with commemorative spirit, overflowing with emotions and knowing how to cherish the value of the two words peace...

It is precious that today's young generation expresses their patriotism in a very brilliant, civilized, and "trendy" way, and they skillfully create a spread on social networks.

When young people show patriotism

Not only is the community "stirred up" with the red flag with yellow star, the iconic image of the tank that has gone down in history... but famous people such as beauty queens, singers, MCs, actors, models... also use their personal influence to spread meaningful, positive messages.

“Loan herself feels extremely proud that on a special occasion like this, she can help people feel more clearly about connection, love and spreading. Kieu Loan also wants to send her deep gratitude to the grandparents and soldiers who sacrificed for the peace of the Fatherland,” runner-up Kieu Loan expressed.

Young people like Miss Runner-up Kieu Loan, who are fortunate to live in a special atmosphere that only happens once every 50 years, cannot remain indifferent or stand aside. They are proud, moved, and clearly aware of their generation’s responsibility to inherit and promote the values of the heritage that their ancestors have left behind.

As an idol of Vietnamese youth, Chipu shared for the first time about her family's origins and was proud that her grandfather was on duty at the Command Headquarters with General Vo Nguyen Giap on the morning of April 30, 1975, at the moment she received the secret telegram announcing the victory at 10 o'clock. The singer's father and uncle also held the rank of colonel.

“This historical moment is not only a part of the nation’s memory, but also a sacred memory for my family. The whole Chi family had the opportunity to look back together, and we were very moved and proud, everyone. Chi would like to share it with all our gratitude and respect,” Chipu shared on her personal page.

In a story about her family tradition shared with reporters, MC Thanh Thanh Huyen said: “Since I was little, my family taught me to try to help those around me every day. For me, that is a simple but practical way to express national spirit.”

Chipu proudly shares about family traditions.

Director Hoang Nhat Nam also agrees with Thanh Huyen's point of view and said: "Patriotism does not necessarily have to be expressed in grand ways. Sometimes, just loving your fellow countrymen and sharing within your ability is also patriotism."

April 30, the day the country was reunited, the country blossomed in the song of freedom. Proud to be born in the midst of peaceful springs, Miss Le Hoang Phuong expressed that she always remembers the silent sacrifices of her ancestors and will always strive every day, living up to the unfinished dreams, with the hopes entrusted from a time of war.

Miss Le Hoang Phuong and Miss Luong Thuy Linh took a photo shoot in white ao dai at the Independence Palace and the War Remnants Museum with the hope that these beautiful moments will be a deep gratitude during the historic April days, contributing to spreading patriotism and national pride in the community, especially the young generation.

The great ceremony of the "rising generation"

The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day has become an important historical event, attracting strong attention not only in the community but also in cyberspace.

It can be said that this event has created an unprecedented wave of searches. On the Coc Coc search engine, from the beginning of the month to April 28, 2025, there have been about 2.8 million searches related to topics about the historic event.

In particular, April 25, 2025 marked a peak search volume of 240,000 searches, an increase of 550% compared to the average of the first days of the month. This demonstrated the attraction and influence of the event not only dominating the streets, but also exploding strongly on social networks and search engines.

YouNet Media's report shows that more than 173,800 users discussed the parade and march, generating more than 1.15 million discussions and 8.22 million interactions on social media platforms (from March 27 to April 15).

Large-scale drills involving military vehicles and ceremonial formations drew the attention of the online community early on. However, it was not until the majestic images of helicopters and fighter jets were widely shared that the discussion really exploded.

Social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok accounted for a large proportion of these discussions, with 55.6% of the discussions on Facebook and 34.6% on TikTok. Interest was not only expressed through discussions about the parade, but also through sharing information about the location, schedule, and how to watch the event. This demonstrates the high expectations from the people about such a major event.

According to YouNet Media, 58% of social media discussions were calls for friends and relatives to join the parade and march, thereby demonstrating a strong sense of solidarity and national pride. In addition, 51% of discussions were related to national pride, showing that people not only consider this an occasion to celebrate, but also an opportunity to express their love for the country and honor the history of the struggle for independence and freedom.

“The Fatherland is in the heart, love is in every breath” is not only the personal feeling of Miss Le Hoang Phuong but also the feeling of tens of millions of young Vietnamese people.

The youth have shown that they are not "indifferent" to the great event through the way they "modernize" and make a National Day closer with the phrase "Vietnam concert", "National Concert" and immerse themselves in the country's great day with a jubilant, bustling festival atmosphere, truly youthful and full of patriotism. They not only invite each other to make cakes, change avatars, check-in at tourist attractions with colorful flags, and are willing to queue all day to buy the April 30 supplement... that fiery atmosphere not only fills the internet but also spills out into the streets, bringing friends and "elders" in the family to celebrate the Victory Day and express gratitude to previous generations for today's "Beautiful Peace".

Somewhere, on the great national holiday, there are still complaints about inconvenient traffic jams; or the voices of extremist anti-communist organizations at home and abroad "repeatedly" distorting the Party's "national reconciliation" policy, calling for not celebrating April 30th ... However, selfish, distorting statements that divide national unity quickly become out of place because of the reactions of young people. Under such articles are thousands of comments (opinions) expressing dissatisfaction, criticizing deviant thoughts, even analyzing and dissecting to expose the selfishness and ingratitude of a few people.

In the bustling atmosphere of the Great National Day, Vietnamese youth have made some extremes in some places become overshadowed by the fiery spirit of the red flag with yellow star fluttering in the wind and the spirit of national pride after years of arduous struggle, loss and sacrifice, now standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers. They have shown a generation of young Vietnamese approaching new knowledge but not forgetting the history of the nation, always proudly affirming "I am Vietnamese" ready for the country and the people - A "generation rising up"./.
