On the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, people from all over the country flocked to the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife Dang Bich Ha to light incense and express their feelings and gratitude to the nation's talented general.

According to the representative of General Vo Nguyen Giap's family, on April 30, the tomb welcomed nearly 12,000 visitors, many times more than usual.

General Vo Nguyen Giap was a major contributor to the historic victory on April 30, 1975, helping to fulfill the wishes of the entire Vietnamese people after more than 20 years of arduous fighting against the US to save the country.
