Ho Chi Minh City sends off parade participants back to their units

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of May 2, at Tan Son Nhat airport, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Military Region 7 Command and Ho Chi Minh City Command, along with the people of the city, came to see off the forces participating in the parade and marching at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) back to their units.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented flowers to congratulate the officers and soldiers.

The farewell ceremony took place in a warm and emotional atmosphere, expressing the appreciation of the Party Committee, government and people of the City for the forces.

On behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee presented flowers and gifts to the officers and soldiers participating in the parade; expressing gratitude for their efforts in training and contributions to the success of the Celebration.

On May 2, the parade participants from the Ministry of National Defense, Army Corps 12, Air Defense - Air Force, Armored Corps, Signal Corps, Special Forces, Military Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, and the Army Ceremonial Group will return to their units on 4 flights from Tan Son Nhat Airport.

Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy presented flowers to congratulate the officers and soldiers.

Participating in the parade were 38 groups of armed forces (25 groups of Army and militia; 13 groups of Police). Before the official ceremony, the training sessions, preliminary rehearsals, and general rehearsals of the parade attracted the attention and following of many people. The images of the groups in neat and solemn formations marching through familiar streets received the love not only of the people of Ho Chi Minh City but also of the people of the whole country. People stood along both sides of the road, watching with emotion and pride. The forces truly "walked among the people", living in the affection and trust of the people of the city.

Previously, on the evening of May 1, at Bien Hoa station (Dong Nai), leaders of the Ministry of National Defense came to encourage and see off more than 1,000 officers and soldiers of several armed forces units who had completed their parade mission and marched back to their units in the Central and Northern provinces.

On the same day, the Binh Duong Provincial Military Command also solemnly held a farewell ceremony for the parade of Chinese, Lao and Cambodian military forces participating in the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
