These are the cooperatives of Lai Chau province that are included in the list of considered support in 2025, under the Program "Cooperatives linking with farmers to develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably".
The working group focused on comprehensively assessing the production and business plan, loan plan, product consumption capacity, and the level of participation and benefits of poor and near-poor households. Not only stopping at reporting, the group also went directly to the raw material area, inspected the facilities and production process, as well as worked with local authorities to consider consensus and commitment for long-term support.
The Thien Tam Fund’s support program not only provides preferential capital, but also sets strict requirements on transparent governance, operational capacity and the ability to link along the value chain. This is considered an important “ticket” for cooperatives in Lai Chau to improve their professionalism, expand their markets, and at the same time affirm their role as a bridge between farmers and businesses.
Lai Chau is a mountainous province with many difficulties and a high poverty rate. The fact that local cooperatives were selected for this survey shows the great interest of the State and enterprises in developing the collective economy. If supported, Muong Mo Youth Cooperative and Ung Thin Cooperative promise to become a spreading nucleus, contributing to job creation, income increase, promoting new rural construction and achieving the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.
The program not only opens up development opportunities for cooperatives, but also affirms that the path of association and cooperation is the key for Lai Chau farmers to escape poverty sustainably in the new period.
