The conference also aims to solicit opinions from former provincial leaders; experts, scientists, and intellectuals in the fields of socio -economics, Party building, national defense, and security to propose breakthrough and feasible tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term to effectively exploit the province's potential and strengths towards the goal of building Khanh Hoa into an increasingly prosperous and beautiful city directly under the Central Government.
Speaking at the conference, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh said that the draft Political Report had absorbed and updated the contents from the draft documents of the Party Executive Committees of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces before the merger. In particular, it objectively assessed the results of the 2020-2025 term, pointed out limitations and shortcomings; at the same time, set out goals and directions for the next term.
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, after the reorganization of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces, Khanh Hoa province will have a large space, converging all the advantages for development. From geography, both are coastal provinces, with many beautiful bays, large seaports, synchronous transport infrastructure to the gentle, friendly people and aspirations for development.
"Together with Ninh Thuan - a province with similar culture, it will create strength in the new period, certainly not one plus one equals two but must equal four, five or more. Khanh Hoa's goal will be double-digit growth in economy, budget revenue and per capita income", Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh affirmed.
Accordingly, delegates at the conference discussed and evaluated the results achieved and existing in the past term; lessons learned; goals, targets, and breakthrough solutions to successfully implement the goal of turning the province into a centrally-governed city, a new growth pole of the whole country.
As planned, on June 17, at the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee Hall, the Standing Committees of the Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committees will also chair a conference to collect opinions from former provincial leaders; experts, scientists, and intellectuals of Ninh Thuan province.
