Urgent dredging and clearing the flow of Na Lac stream (Trinh Tuong commune)

To respond to the circulation of storm No. 3, currently, the authorities are urgently using equipment to dredge and clear the flow of Na Lac stream flowing through Provincial Road 156 in Trinh Tuong commune, to limit the impact of floods on traffic works.

Due to the impact of floods, Na Lac tunnel is buried by rocks and soil. If there is heavy rain, rising water will lead to traffic disruption.

Due to the impact of the historic flood in September 2024 and the flood in early July this year, the Na Lac stream flowing through Provincial Road 156 (section Trinh Tuong - Y Ty commune) changed its flow, and rocks and soil buried the Na Lac drainage culvert and underground, making it difficult for people to travel.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 3, which is forecast to cause heavy rain in the coming days, Road Management Department No. 6 under Lao Cai Road Joint Stock Company has deployed many vehicles to dredge and clear the flow of Na Lac stream; build a temporary dam to regulate the flow of Na Lac stream, in order to limit damage caused by floods to Provincial Road 156, the section through Na Lac stream and traffic works, irrigation works, and fields of local people.

Urgently handle the roads buried by rocks and soil so that people can travel more safely.

Currently, Road Management Unit No. 6 has prepared vehicles including 4 excavators, 2 cars and workers on duty regularly to promptly handle traffic incidents caused by floods. The unit also urgently leveled and handled the amount of soil and rocks buried on the road through Na Lac valley and some landslides on Trinh Tuong - Y Ty route to ensure people's safety.
