Comrade Nguyen Van Nen is the Standing Member of the Document Subcommittee of the 14th National Party Congress.

On the morning of August 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Politburo held a conference to announce and present the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.

Attending the conference were comrades: Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat; Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission; Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission; and comrades of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, announced the Politburo's Decision on personnel work.

According to the decision of the Politburo, comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2020-2025.

The Politburo decided to mobilize and assign comrade Nguyen Van Nen to participate as a Standing Member of the Subcommittee on Documents of the 14th Party Congress. At the same time, comrade Nguyen Van Nen was assigned to monitor and direct the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee until the 14th Party Congress.
