
The competition is held to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (August 8, 1967 - August 8, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of Vietnam's official accession to the ASEAN common house (July 28, 1995 - July 28, 2025). The Vietnam - Southeast Asia Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City (VAFA), the Institute for Cultural Exchange with France (IDÉCAF) and artLIVE jointly organized.
The contest is supported by the Consulate General of Malaysia - the country holding the rotating ASEAN Chair 2025 and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO), with the aim of creating a playground to connect the photography-loving community, contributing to enhancing cultural exchanges between member countries, spreading positive images of nature, people and life in the region.
“ASEAN Beauty - Vietnam Imprint” aims to capture the landscape, people and life in ASEAN member countries . The contest is open to all individuals living in Vietnam, regardless of age or nationality.
The Organizing Committee received more than 200 entries from more than 50 authors. The works captured images of 10 ASEAN member countries, affirming the spirit of connection and cultural exchange in the region. The works brought diverse and emotional perspectives on the life and people of East Asia, from majestic and poetic natural landscapes, architectural works bearing the mark of culture and history... to simple but warm everyday moments.


In the end, author Truong Cong Luc won first prize with the work Special makeup style of Myanmar women . Second prize went to author Nguyen Thi Hong Lan with the work Light up the Buddha cave . Two third prizes went to author Cao Thi Thanh Ha with the work Ho Chi Minh City and Nguyen Thu Dung with the work Timemarks .
5 consolation prizes were awarded to the authors: Huynh Buu Tinh - work Water Bridge Festival - Bac Giang , Tong Tran Son - work Singapore Fireworks , Tran Kim Phung - work Peace , Do Trong Danh - work Golden Temple Country , Huynh Quang Ngoc - work Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque .





The outstanding works will be on display from now until September 5 at the Institute for Cultural Exchange with France – IDÉCAF. The exhibition is free of charge.
