Opening of the National Lion Dance Club Championship

The tournament has the participation of 13 Lion Dance Clubs with nearly 300 athletes from the provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ngai, Tay Ninh, Vinh Long, Bac Ninh , Ninh Binh, Lam Dong. The Lion Dance teams compete in the following categories: Traditional Lion Dance; Traditional Dragon Dance; Lion Dance on a high pole; Lion Dance on a high pole for men and women; Speed ​​Dragon and Speed ​​Lion; Dragon of choice and Glowing Lion.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Trong Trinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Lion Dance Federation, emphasized: The 2025 National Lion Dance Club Championship is an opportunity for athletes from provinces and cities to compete and improve their professional skills; at the same time, he believes that the tournament will bring attractive competitions, beautiful performances, demonstrating bravery, martial spirit, solidarity and aspiration to rise up.

The tournament also contributes to creating motivation to promote the development of the Lion Dance training and competition movement across the country. This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the image of the land and people of Dak Lak to people and tourists across the country.

The 2025 National Lion Dance Club Championship will take place until August 27.
