Attending the meeting were members of the Standing Committee, members of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the two countries; representatives of provincial youth unions bordering China, the Hanoi Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and relevant agencies.

Delegates visited a photo exhibition about exchange and cooperation activities between the Central Youth Union and youth of the two countries.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the program delegates offered flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Monument to commemorate and express their infinite gratitude to him; and enjoyed performances praising the traditional diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China in general and the effective cooperation activities between the youth of the two countries through the implementation of the "Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting" in particular.

In his opening speech, Comrade Bui Quang Huy stated: Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries with a long-standing tradition of friendship. The 24th "Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting" took place in the context of the two countries' developing relations very well. This year, the two sides announced the launch of the "Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year 2025" with the goal of further deepening people-to-people exchange activities and consolidating a more solid social foundation for the two countries' relations.

Reviewing the cooperation contents agreed with the First Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League of China A Dong during the talks held on the afternoon of April 13 in Hanoi, comrade Bui Quang Huy emphasized: The Youth Union organizations of the two countries have been, are and will continue to be a bridge of friendship connecting the youth and people of Vietnam and China, bringing about practical benefits and efficiency, constantly nurturing the traditional friendship between the youth and people of the two countries; together contributing to promoting the healthy and stable development of the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade A Dong said that young people need to answer questions about the future of the world and at the same time shoulder the responsibility entrusted by the nation. Vietnamese and Chinese youth need to become people with noble ideals, maintain faith, strengthen solidarity and join hands to portray a "portrait of youth" under the bright flag of ideals, write more heroic pages of history, and fully inherit the traditional friendship between the two countries so that the flame of friendship will always shine in their hearts.

Immediately after the opening ceremony of the program, the Forum "Vietnam-China Youth: Firmly upholding ideals" took place. Here, delegates of Youth Union officials and outstanding members of the two countries exchanged and shared experiences on the key points in propaganda and education work for the youth of the two countries as well as the role and responsibility of Vietnamese and Chinese youth in steadfastly and creatively applying the path of national independence associated with socialism in the current context; solutions to innovate content and methods, improve the effectiveness of political and ideological education for union members and youth; study and follow the thoughts of the leaders of the two Parties.

Notably, there are the presentations "Innovating content and methods, improving the effectiveness of political and ideological education for Vietnamese youth union members and youth today" by Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Thai An; "Xi Jinping's Thought on Youth Work" by Lecturer of the Central Youth Union School (China) Hoang Tran Than; "Strengthening education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyle in cyberspace" by Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi City Student Association Nguyen Tien Hung...

It is known that within the framework of the 24th "Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting", on the same day, the Chinese youth delegation will meet with the leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State in Hanoi.
