During the May 1 International Labor Day holiday, Quang Ninh welcomed 320,000 visitors to tourist destinations and areas in the area, reaching 119% over the same period; of which, there were 134,000 overnight guests, 21,700 international visitors and total tourism revenue reached 880 billion VND.

Localities attracting a sharp increase in the number of tourists include Ha Long city with 177,000 visitors; Mong Cai city with 42,000 visitors; Uong Bi city with 17,450 visitors; Van Don with 31,000 visitors; and Co To with 11,500 visitors.

The number of tourists visiting Ha Long Bay alone reached 32,000, of which 6,500 were international visitors. Famous tourist destinations in Quang Ninh such as Sun World Park welcomed 13,000 visitors, Quang Ninh Museum welcomed 12,582 visitors; Yen Tu scenic area welcomed about 2,958 visitors; Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh hot spring area welcomed about 1,075 visitors; international visitors entering through Mong Cai border gate reached 4,948 visitors.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh, the total number of tourists to Quang Ninh during the two-day holiday of April 30 and May 1 reached 485,000, of which, overnight guests reached about 199,000; international visitors were estimated at 44,700. Total tourism revenue was estimated at 1,334 billion VND.
