Accommodation allowance is an additional support in addition to salary, calculated from the start date to the end of the business trip, including travel and accommodation time. For daily business trips (going and returning within the day), the head of the agency or unit shall base on the actual number of hours and travel distance to decide on the appropriate allowance level, ensuring that it is stipulated in the internal spending regulations.

In particular, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers working at sea and on islands will receive a residence allowance of 400,000 VND/day, an increase of 150,000 VND/day. Professions that have a special regime for work at sea and on islands will be selected for the highest payment level according to regulations.
