Gia Loc district reduces 4 communes after administrative unit rearrangement

On the morning of November 13, Gia Loc district organized the announcement of Resolution No. 1250/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated October 24, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Hai Duong province for the period 2023-2025.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council attended the conference.

According to the Resolution, Gia Loc has 4 new communes formed after the arrangement.

Gia Tien commune was established on the basis of merging Tan Tien and Gia Luong communes, with a natural area of ​​6.19 km² and a population of 10,756 people.

Gia Phuc commune was established on the basis of merging Gia Tan commune and Gia Khanh commune, with a natural area of ​​8.13 km² and a population of 12,816 people.

Nhat Tan and Dong Quang communes merged into Nhat Quang commune, area 8.84 km², population 11,739 people.

Quang Minh commune and Duc Xuong commune merged into Quang Duc commune, area 9.53 km², population 12,776 people.

The working headquarters of Gia Tien Commune People's Committee is located in Gia Luong Commune, Gia Phuc Commune People's Committee is located in Gia Khanh Commune, Nhat Quang Commune People's Committee is located in Dong Quang Commune, Quang Duc Commune People's Committee is located in Duc Xuong Commune.

For the surplus public offices, Gia Loc district will arrange and set up them as workplaces for the Commune Police, Commune Military Command, village cultural houses, and school expansion...

After the arrangement, Gia Loc district has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 1 town.

Speaking at the conference, the district leader requested communes to disseminate information to people about the regulations on changing, issuing new documents or continuing to use related documents, avoiding the situation where people "rush" to re-issue documents. The work of resolving and arranging officials is also carried out seriously, ensuring the rights of officials and civil servants in the communes after the merger.
