Route 822B will 'bring closer' the border area of ​​Duc Hue, Long An with Ho Chi Minh City, connecting with the entire Southeast - Southwest region via Ho Chi Minh route and National Highway N2.

On January 5, Long An Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to close the border span of Vam Co Dong bridge and start construction of provincial road 822B.

Provincial Road 822B is about 11.4km long, connecting from Provincial Road 825 (in Tan My Commune, Duc Hoa District) to Ong Duong intersection on Provincial Road 838 (in My Thanh Bac Commune, Duc Hue District, Long An).

This is the main route in the Duc Hoa dynamic axis according to the planning of Long An province, connecting My Quy Tay national border gate (Duc Hue district) to industrial parks and urban areas bordering Ho Chi Minh City, as well as connecting the Duc Hue border area with the entire Southeast - Southwest region via Ho Chi Minh roads and National Highway N2.

Phase 1, Road 822B is built to the scale of a level IV plain road, with a 7m wide asphalt concrete surface, a 9m wide roadbed, and a total investment of more than 918 billion VND. Phase 1 is expected to be completed in mid-2026.

In the completed phase, the road will have 6 lanes with a 30m wide roadbed.

The bridge over the Vam Co Dong River has just been completed, with a length of 536m and a total investment of more than 322 billion VND. The bridge has been under construction since April 2023 and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2025.
