This morning, May 23, the Department of Health in collaboration with the Medical Committee of the Netherlands - Vietnam (MCNV) organized a workshop on "Rehabilitation to improve quality of life" to raise awareness of rehabilitation, thereby supporting the development of the rehabilitation system and improving the quality of rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in the province.

In the past, Quang Tri province has received support from the Integration Project I (a component of the project "Support to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities in provinces heavily sprayed with Agent Orange") with key activities on developing human resources for rehabilitation and providing services for people with disabilities in the community and in medical facilities.

The actual implementation of the project has helped to increase awareness of rehabilitation in society, especially in the system of medical examination and treatment facilities. Thereby contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the rehabilitation system and improving the quality of rehabilitation services for people, including people with disabilities.

At the workshop, delegates were presented by experts in the field of rehabilitation, including: Overview of health, disability and rehabilitation; rehabilitation medicine and the role of rehabilitation doctors; subjects and areas of intervention of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.

The workshop is an opportunity for delegates to be provided with more knowledge and understanding of PHCN, and to have the right attitude towards the people's PHCN needs.

From there, there is more motivation and attention to invest in strengthening human resources for rehabilitation; expanding coverage and improving the quality of rehabilitation services at medical facilities and units under one's charge.

At the same time, contributing to achieving the goals in the Plan for Developing the PHCN System for the period 2023 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in the province.
