Faced with the increasingly complicated situation of counterfeit nutritional food products, especially fake milk, on the market, the interdisciplinary inspection team chaired by the health sector has synchronously deployed inspections and post-inspections of compliance with legal regulations for food production and trading establishments under the management authority of the health sector in the province.
According to statistics from the Department of Health, Vinh Phuc currently has 42 food manufacturing companies, including dairy products. During the inspection process, the working groups focused on assessing compliance with food safety regulations such as conditions of facilities, production equipment, origin of raw materials, food preservation and transportation processes, and implementation of regulations on labeling of goods and certificates of establishments meeting food safety conditions.
Depending on the actual situation at the facility, the team will organize sampling and send samples for product testing. In addition, post-inspection work is also promoted to promptly detect and strictly handle violations, and at the same time require facilities to immediately correct existing problems and limitations in products before putting them on the market.
In addition to inspection and post-inspection, the Health sector requires agencies, units, food production and trading establishments in the province to promptly report the results of inspection, review, and handling (if any) of food and nutritional products (in the form of powdered milk) that are counterfeit so that the Department of Health can synthesize and report to the Ministry of Health and the Provincial People's Committee as soon as possible.
