On October 12, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024), the Town Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Quang Yen Town held a conference to meet, discuss, and dialogue with businesses currently investing and constructing projects in the town.

To date, there are more than 600 enterprises operating in the town, of which over 70 are FDI investors in industrial parks (accounting for nearly 12% of the total number of operating enterprises). In 2023 and the first 9 months of 2024 alone, the town has attracted over 42 secondary projects in industrial parks with a registered capital of 2,490.6 million USD.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the town has effectively implemented the annual plan tasks. Economic growth increased sharply compared to the same period ( 23.6%) ; state budget revenue increased by 31% over the same period; administrative reform and business investment environment continued to improve, creating satisfaction and high appreciation from businesses and people.

The town has been approved by the Provincial Party Committee to establish 2 wards (Hiep Hoa, Tien An) and establish Quang Yen city under Quang Ninh province. The Ben Rung Bridge project and the connecting road connecting Quang Yen town with Hai Phong city have been opened to traffic, creating a driving force to attract development resources for the town.

Speaking at the conference, the leaders of Quang Yen town emphasized the important achievements that the town has achieved in recent times, with great contributions from the business community. In particular, before the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi) in early September, causing heavy losses to agencies, units, people and the town's business community with estimated losses of over 2,300 billion VND. However, overcoming all difficulties, the business community continued to accompany and support the town to overcome the damage caused by natural disasters, stabilize life and production.

The town leaders commended and highly appreciated the achievements of the town's business community and entrepreneurs in recent times. At the same time, they requested that businesses and entrepreneurs in the town continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, promote the role of self-reliance and solidarity in the business community, be proactive and proactive in overcoming difficulties, finding markets for their products; build brands, improve business ethics; and continue to join hands with the town in social, humanitarian and charitable activities and build a cultural lifestyle.

At the conference, business representatives made recommendations on the difficulties in the current context, after having to face the consequences of storm No. 3 such as: Wishing to be facilitated in policies to support loans, defer debt; requesting the town to connect with units to cooperate in solving jobs for workers...

Regarding the recommendations of enterprises, the town leaders requested departments, offices and units to regularly listen to and absorb the recommendations of enterprises; care, share and accompany enterprises, especially in the current difficult period after storm No.

Recognizing and honoring the contributions of businesses, on this occasion, the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town commended 21 businesses with outstanding achievements in the socio-economic development of the town in the period of 2021 - 2024.
