Hoa Lu opens training class on Cheo singing, Xam singing, Van singing and improving skills in using traditional musical instruments

On March 25, the Hoa Lu District Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center held the opening ceremony of a training course to teach Cheo singing, Xam singing, Van singing and improve the skills of using traditional musical instruments for art clubs, teams and groups in the district.

Currently, in Hoa Lu district, there are 189 cultural and sports clubs in villages and hamlets. However, the number of members in these cultural clubs who know how to sing Cheo, Xam, Van and use traditional musical instruments is still modest. Therefore, it is very necessary to open training classes to teach Cheo, Xam, Van singing and improve the skills of using traditional musical instruments.

The training course had over 70 students who were performing arts cores currently active in clubs, teams, and art groups in villages and hamlets, as well as vocal teachers and teachers passionate about traditional art of singing Cheo and Xam in schools in the district.

The district's training activities will be divided into 2 classes, one for students from 6 communes, towns and schools in the north of the district, studying at the district's Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center with 70 people and one for students from 5 communes and schools in the south with 30 people (will be opened in Ninh Thang commune).

During the 10 days, students were trained by artists, artisans, and musicians, taught ancient Cheo and Xam melodies, basic knowledge of Cheo, Xam, Van singing skills, and the use of traditional musical instruments.

Through the training course, it aims to contribute to preserving and promoting the value of traditional art forms in the district. At the same time, it further improves the quality of cultural and artistic movements at the grassroots level, especially the quality of activities of traditional art clubs serving tourists, meeting the needs of creativity, cultural enjoyment, entertainment of all classes of people in residential areas; It is an opportunity to exchange, learn, and gain experience in the activities of traditional art clubs in the district.
