On the afternoon of June 21, Military Hospital 175 (Ministry of National Defense) held a ceremony to award the decision and receive the ISO 15189:2022 certificate at the Department of Hematology and the Department of Microbiology.

ISO 15189:2022 is an international standard for clinical laboratories that is unified worldwide with specific requirements for quality and capacity. Since June 2023, Military Hospital 175 has implemented the project "Establishing and applying a laboratory quality management system according to ISO 15189:2022" in 3 departments: Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology. By May 2024, the Biochemistry Department had received ISO 15189:2022 certification.

The Office of Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Competence (AOSC) awarded ISO 15189:2022 accreditation to the Department of Hematology and the Department of Microbiology.

The hospital awarded prizes to outstanding groups.

At this ceremony, the Office of Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Capacity (AOSC) announced the recognition of the medical laboratory's capacity to meet the requirements of ISO 15189:2022 and awarded certificates to the Department of Hematology and the Department of Microbiology of Military Hospital 175. To achieve this result, the two departments of Military Hospital 175 have continuously improved the quality of test results to meet international standards, committed to maintaining the reliability and fast test result delivery time of testing services. In addition, the Department of Hematology is developing many specialized techniques, especially the development of flow cytometry techniques for many dangerous diseases.

Delegates performed the ceremony of attaching bronze plaques recognizing units achieving ISO 15189:2022 certification.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General, Dr. Tran Quoc Viet, Party Secretary, Director of Military Hospital 175 affirmed: The event of achieving ISO 15189:2022 certification of the Department of Hematology and the Department of Microbiology as well as the Department of Biology before that marked an important milestone in the journey of commitment to quality and improving patient care services of the hospital. This is the foundation to continue to maintain and improve the quality of testing, quality of medical examination and treatment, towards achieving higher certificates of the unit. In addition, this certificate not only enhances the reputation of the hospital but also opens up many opportunities for international cooperation, promoting the development of the hospital. On this occasion, Military Hospital 175 awarded prizes to outstanding collectives and individuals in the implementation of the project "Establishing and applying a laboratory quality management system according to ISO 15189: 2022 standards".
