Hanoi no longer has district and county police from March 1

(Dan Tri) - According to Plan 270, Hanoi Police completed the conditions for implementing the restructuring of the apparatus according to the new model, not organizing district-level police from March 1.

On February 27, Hanoi City Police announced that, implementing Plan 270 to implement Plan No. 282 of the Central Public Security Party Committee on continuing to arrange and streamline the organization of the police apparatus at units and localities, from March 1, the Capital City Police will not organize district-level police.

Accordingly, Plan No. 270 has identified specific tasks for Party committees and organizations, especially the roles and responsibilities of leaders, heads, and Party committee members of each unit; ensuring high unity of the entire police force.

At the same time, Hanoi Police set out the overall tasks to be performed revolving around the issues of Work - People - Finance and property, in 3 phases.

Phase 1: Review, count, and compile statistics on work, records, staff, finances, and assets of district-level police.

Phase 2: Receive the original status of work, staff, finance, and assets from the district police to the functional departments of the city police according to their functions and tasks.

Phase 3: Transfer of work, personnel, finance, and assets between departments of the city police and commune-level police according to new functions, tasks, organization, apparatus, assignment, and decentralization.

According to Hanoi Police, up to now, the city police have basically completed the tasks of Phase 2 of Plan No. 270, as well as completed the conditions for implementing the restructuring of the apparatus according to the new model.

For more information, the Capital Police said it has received requests from 25 department heads and equivalents, district police chiefs to resign before the age limit and request to be assigned to a lower position; 8 deputy department heads, deputy district police chiefs have requested to resign before the age limit.

Previously, 11 deputy department heads and deputy district police chiefs voluntarily submitted applications for early retirement from January to facilitate the work of city police officers.

Of which, the oldest person has 7 months of work left; the youngest person has 12 years and 6 months of work left.
