Right before the holiday, if you "suddenly" want to travel, you can refer to some famous tourist destinations that still have hotel rooms and reasonably priced air tickets, or you can travel by car, departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Domestic destinations

Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc)

Two days before the holiday, 2-5 star hotels in Tam Dao still have rooms available for 1-4 million VND per night, such as Hôtel de l'Amour Tam Dao, Venus Hotel Tam Dao, Quynh Hoa Hotel Tam Dao, Tam Dao Gold Hotel. Traveling to Tam Dao from Hanoi is easy by private or public means. Time is about 1 hour and a half.

In Tam Dao, visitors will enjoy the cool air, visit the stone church, Truc Tam Zen Monastery, Bac Waterfall, National Park, enjoy some specialties such as chayote, stream fish, hill chicken, grilled hill pig.

Thua Thien Hue

Flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Hue will still have 2-3 flights per day from May 1, with prices starting from VND1.5 million one way depending on the day. There are still many hotels in Hue, such as Alba Wellness Resort, Melia Vinpearl Hue, Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa, Azerai La Residence Hue, Hue Panorama Villa with the highest price of about VND5 million per night.

In Hue, besides walking around the city and suburban areas, tourists can also travel to Tam Giang lagoon, Thuan An beach, Lang Co town, Bach Ma National Park. Hue specialties include cakes, mussel rice, boiled meat with sour shrimp, and alley sweet soup.

Trekking in Quang Binh

The Hang Tien - Tu Lan Tour (1 or 2 days) in the cave system of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park still has some vacancies during the April 30 holiday. Visitors choosing this itinerary need to contact the tour provider's consultants in advance. The itinerary is suitable for visitors from the North, who need to provide their own transportation to Phong Nha.

With the above trekking tours, visitors only need to worry about personal clothing and health. Safety equipment, guides, accommodation and meals are included in the tour. Vacation in Dalat

Dalat is entering its low season due to the rain. However, the rain in Dalat is not continuous all day but usually only in the afternoon. From Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can drive or take public transport for about 6 hours. Airfare from Hanoi and the northern provinces starts from 1.3 million VND one way.

In Da Lat, tourists visit Bao Dai Palace, Datanla Waterfall, Cau Dat Tea Hill, Da Lat Railway Station, Lang Biang Peak. Suggested dishes include chicken hotpot with perilla leaves, grilled spring rolls, grilled rice paper, banh can, banh uot long ga, steamed snails, banh mi xiu mai, oxtail hotpot.

Foreign destinations

Thailand is still the most suitable itinerary for a 4 - 5 day vacation, with prices not higher than domestic trips.

Currently, according to data on Skyscanner, the world's largest flight information platform, the cheapest round-trip ticket for a flight from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok (departing on May 1 and returning on May 4) is 5.8 million VND, combining Vietjet Air and Thai Air.

Other expenses for the trip, including hotel, meals and domestic transportation, are estimated at around VND1 million per person per day. The total cost of the trip is around VND10 - 12 million per person.
