In the 2024 high school graduation exam, Thanh Hoa province has 35,684 candidates taking the graduation and university entrance exams, 1,693 candidates taking the high school graduation exam and 1,392 candidates taking the university and pedagogical college entrance exam.

Previously, schools in Thanh Hoa province completed the curriculum, evaluation, classification, and transcripts; announced students who were eligible to take the graduation exam to students and parents, organized exam registration for students, and received exam applications from independent candidates at the school.

Due to uneven awareness among students, limited equipment, computers, and phones of candidates, online exam registration still has shortcomings, especially in mountainous areas.

The school council organizes the inspection, review, and unification of exam application documents to avoid errors. Educational institutions and teachers promptly support candidates to register for the exam, ensuring that online exam registration is completed on time; organizes review sessions for students at school and guides students to review on their own.

Localities and schools in Thanh Hoa province have also proactively reviewed, self-inspected, developed plans to consolidate and supplement facilities at examination locations and equipment according to examination regulations; developed plans to arrange workplaces, organize transportation, handover of examination papers, prevent fires and explosions, and provide backup power.

In particular, Thanh Hoa province has 23 examination locations in mountainous districts, of which the examination location is in the center of Muong Lat district, 250km from Thanh Hoa city.

Schools coordinate with parents' associations and local authorities to create the best accommodation and food conditions for candidates during the high school graduation exam days.

This year, Muong Lat district has nearly 350 candidates taking the high school graduation exam at the high school exam site in the district center. Students from remote villages all stay in the Student Village and rent accommodation in the town area, making it convenient for them to take the exam.

Secretary of the Youth Union of Muong Lat District, Thanh Hoa Province, Lau Van Phia, said: Through a survey, a candidate's accommodation is only about 300 meters away from the exam location and the motorbike taxi team of young volunteers is ready to support students in moving and handling any situations that arise.

Some philanthropists in the district support mineral water, snacks such as bread, milk and young volunteers are always on duty outside the exam location to distribute them to candidates and parents in need.

Quang Xuong I High School Youth Union deploys youth volunteer team.

It is known that Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has established and deployed 157 volunteer youth teams; mobilized more than 39 thousand bottles of water, 5,000 snacks, and 10 thousand handheld fans to distribute to candidates and parents.

The youth volunteer force coordinates with local police to regulate traffic, ensure security and order outside the exam location, look after candidates' belongings and property, assist candidates when moving and handle situations that arise outside the exam area, ensure candidates arrive at the exam location on time, meet the conditions to enter the exam area, and attend all exam sessions.
