Energizer launches phone with battery up to 28,000 mAh

According to TechSpot , at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC), Avenir Telecom, the company that owns the Energizer brand, attracted attention with the Hard Case P28K phone. The highlight of this device is the battery of up to 28,000 mAh, promising up to a week of usage time on a single charge.

The Hard Case P28K is the product with the largest battery capacity ever on the smartphone market. However, this also comes with a size disadvantage, as the device is up to 27.8 mm thick, nearly 3 times thicker than the Galaxy S24 Ultra and twice as thick as the Z Fold 4 when folded. The weight of the device is also up to 570 g, 3 times that of the iPhone 15.

While not suitable for jogging, this large capacity battery promises 122 hours of talk time (more than 5 days) and up to 2,252 hours of standby time (nearly 94 days, equivalent to 3 months). In addition, the device also supports 33W fast charging, which can be fully charged in 1.5 hours with the included 36W charger.

The Hard Case P28K is primarily aimed at users looking for durability and battery life over high-end features. It doesn’t support 5G connectivity, nor does it use the latest Qualcomm processor, instead using the MediaTek MT6789. Other specs include a 6.78-inch 1,080p LCD display, Android 14, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a triple rear camera system (60MP main camera, 20MP secondary camera, 2MP) and a 16MP front camera. It also has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

According to The Verge , the Energizer Hard Case P28K will cost around $271 (equivalent to 6.6 million VND) when it officially hits shelves in October this year.

Previously, Energizer introduced phones with 7,000 mAh and 16,000 mAh batteries. Or the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for the Power Max P18K phone with 18,000 mAh battery only reached $ 15,000 of the total goal of $ 1.2 million, showing the great challenge in convincing users to choose phones with these super 'huge' batteries.
