Accordingly, in the third term, the Executive Committee of ATE includes: 1 Chairman; 3 Vice Chairmen; 1 General Secretary; 4 Members. Of which, Dr. Dang Kim Son, former Director of the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development is the permanent Chairman of ATE; Labor Hero Thai Huong, Founder, Chairman of the Strategy Council of TH Group, General Director of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank is the Vice Chairman of ATE.

High technology promotes sustainable and comprehensive agricultural development

Speaking at the Congress, AHLĐ Thái Hương, Founder, Chairman of TH Group's Strategy Council, General Director of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Chairman of the 2nd term of ATE emphasized that the period 2019 - 2024 has marked particularly challenging moments for the global economy and society when experiencing the Covid pandemic; in which high-tech enterprises in agriculture cannot avoid certain impacts.

On the other hand, this is also a test of fire proving the pioneering choice of high-tech enterprises - which has contributed to helping these enterprises firmly overcome the unpredictable fluctuations of the times.

During that time, ATE has promoted the role of cooperation, association, support and mutual assistance in career development, management, improving production and business efficiency and protecting the legitimate rights of members in producing agricultural products of international quality, high productivity and added value.

"The members of the Association's Executive Board have proactively coordinated with competent state agencies, implemented cooperation projects, and connected with state and international business support programs to facilitate scientific and technological support for member businesses," informed Dr. Dang Kim Son.

However, in the context of the global economy experiencing many fluctuations, climate change and the urgent need for digital transformation in agriculture, ATE needs to continue to innovate and develop more strongly. Term III (2024-2029) will be the period for ATE to build new strategies and initiatives to affirm the role of the association in promoting the sustainable development of Vietnam's high-tech agriculture industry.

The Association continues to be a place to help promote policy mechanisms, remove bottlenecks, to create conditions to help members stabilize production and business in all situations and meet the growing market demand for green standards.

"In addition to effectively applying science and technology 4.0 and 5.0, it is a requirement for sustainable, harmonious and comprehensive development in terms of economy, environment and society," emphasized the new ATE Chairman Dang Kim Son.

Nowadays, sustainable development has become an advantage for many enterprises in the Association. This is the reason why the Association proposed in this congress the requirement of sustainable development in parallel with the application of advanced science and technology.

Opportunity to accelerate to become a spearhead of the economy

Entering 2025, the association's new term will set more comprehensive goals, maximizing the role, mission and vision set out from the very first days.

According to AHLĐ Thái Hương, referring to the driving force to bring the country into a new era, General Secretary To Lam always emphasized: "Digital transformation is not simply the application of digital technology to socio-economic activities, but the process of establishing a new, advanced and modern production method".

In that spirit, in recent times, the Government as well as ministries and branches have paid much attention and closely directed, creating conditions for enterprises to apply high technology in the economy, especially in the fields of high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, green economy and circular economy.

AHLĐ Thái Hương commented that with an increasingly open policy base, high-tech agricultural enterprises are facing the opportunity to develop and accelerate to become one of the spearheads of the economy.

To date, human history has witnessed four industrial revolutions, which are also scientific and technological revolutions in general. Each revolution creates an increasingly modern level of development for the long-term industrialization process of mankind - the most typical of which at present is the technological revolution.

Based on the foundation of natural resources, applying achievements of science, technology and world management science: whether it is a planting or processing project, the most advanced end-to-end technology is applied to create products with high quality and the most reasonable cost, competitive enough in the international market, bringing true living values ​​to the people, promoting the country's internal strength.

“With the mission and vision of being a unit connecting enterprises applying high-tech agriculture, ATE continues to promote its role in calling for the participation of enterprises with enough “heart” and “vision”, which are forces with enough capacity and potential in terms of capital, finance, business administration, technology, engineering, and product market thinking to arrange, organize production, guide and attract farmers to follow along, take responsibility and get rich together on their homeland”, said ATE Vice President for the 2024-2029 term, AHLĐ Thai Huong.

ATE has been, is and will always accompany businesses to build projects of sufficient scale and stature, utilizing all social resources; contributing to promoting businesses to build large-scale projects, steadfast with high determination, determined to go to the end of the project.

In particular, the Association will be a bridge between domestic enterprises and international enterprises, connecting and transferring, learning new technologies, the world's terminals to continue to raise the position of Vietnamese enterprises, with high determination in bringing Vietnamese high-tech agricultural application enterprises to reach new heights in the era of national development.

Recognizing the achievements of ATE in the past terms, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang said that in the new term, the association needs to promote the development of science and technology, and the application of high technology in agriculture. Continue to promote its role as a social-professional organization that gathers outstanding and ambitious groups and individuals, contributing to the development of high-tech agriculture in particular and the country's socio-economic development in general.

Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang also suggested that ATE should continue to promote the spirit of streamlining the apparatus, continuing the success of effective personnel work of previous terms. In the coming time, the Ministry of Home Affairs will accompany and create favorable conditions for the association to operate effectively.
