The provincial National Assembly delegation supervises the implementation of policies and laws on ensuring traffic order and safety in Yen Son district.

According to the report of Yen Son district, the locality has an area spread around the city. In the area, there are national highways 2, 2D, 2C, 37, Ho Chi Minh road; 2 provincial roads DT185, DT188 and 32 district roads and urban roads, commune roads, rural roads.

Comrade Ma Thi Thuy, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, inspected some roads in Yen Son district.

From 2009 to 2023, the district authorities detained 2,866 vehicles, detected 171,823 cases of traffic safety violations, detained 10,040 driving licenses, a total of 34,822 violations, total fines of over 12 billion VND, 1,142 traffic accidents occurred, the number of injured and dead people decreased every year.

Regarding inland waterway traffic, there are Lo, Gam and Chay rivers running through the area. The district has 26 inland waterway wharves. From 2015 to 2023, the district's authorities conducted 108 inspections, detected 41 violations, and 1 waterway traffic accident occurred.

To ensure traffic order and safety in the area, the District Traffic Safety Committee has proactively advised the District People's Committee and the District Police to strictly implement the tasks and plans set out, strengthen inspection, control and handle violations. Relevant agencies coordinate to promote propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on ensuring traffic order and safety.

At the monitoring session, delegates focused on exchanging and discussing a number of difficulties and problems that need to be resolved, such as handling black spots, sections with potential traffic risks, traffic signs, rural markets near national highways, students riding motorbikes to school, handling of seized violating vehicles, homemade farm vehicles in circulation, safe school gates, and handling of road traffic safety corridors.

Yen Son district recommends to the National Assembly, the Government, and the Provincial People's Committee that it is necessary to complete the legal system synchronously; the implementation process must be unified and consistent; there must be more facilities and resources for the construction of traffic infrastructure. The district recommends to the Ministry of Transport to decentralize the management of national highways passing through the area; to renovate and upgrade national highways passing through the area; and to the Ministry of Education and Training to strengthen the dissemination, popularization, and education of law in schools.

Speaking at the monitoring session, comrade Ma Thi Thuy, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, highly appreciated Yen Son district's efforts in implementing policies and laws on ensuring traffic safety in the area, achieving clear results, especially in the period when the number of vehicles increased rapidly and the traffic infrastructure could not keep up.

On behalf of the Supervisory Delegation, he acknowledged the reflections, proposals and recommendations for study and made specific recommendations to relevant levels and agencies for consideration and resolution according to their authority. The District Police, the Town Police, the Economic - Infrastructure Department, and the District Traffic Safety Committee coordinated to continue promoting the dissemination, popularization and education of laws on traffic safety and order; strengthening inspection and control to ensure traffic safety and traffic corridors; having solutions to handle black spots and potential traffic accident risk points; installing traffic signs in accordance with practice and regulations; overcoming limitations and shortcomings, proposing fundamental solutions and resolutely implementing them to ensure good traffic safety and order in the area.
