Proposal for appraisal of the task of planning the preservation and restoration of My Son relics

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just submitted a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to study, appraise and report to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval of the task of establishing a plan to preserve, restore and renovate the special national relic My Son Temple Complex until 2035, with a vision to 2050.

Accordingly, the task of planning relics includes many main contents; including the orientation of preserving, repairing and restoring relics: Orientation of preserving, repairing and restoring relics in the area of ​​strict and long-term protection of all remaining traces; areas that need to be embellished and renovated with service and public works, spatial landscapes and technical infrastructure systems to serve the work of promoting the value of the relic site, on the basis of suitability with the characteristics and values ​​of the relic, landscape and natural environment of the area.

Regarding the orientation of organizing architectural space, landscape and construction of new works: Planning landscape architecture of some key relic areas; proposing solutions for restoration and embellishment of relics; embellishing the landscape around relics. Proposing architectural forms of construction items to promote the value of relics in accordance with existing architecture; renovation solutions for existing works, architecture of repaired works...

Regarding the planning scope: My Son Temple Complex was recognized as a special national relic according to Decision No. 1272 dated August 12, 2009 of the Prime Minister.

The planning boundary of this phase is determined based on the planning boundary of My Son relics in the 2008 - 2020 period approved by the Prime Minister under Decision 1915 dated December 31, 2008, specifically as follows: The planning area is 1,158 hectares; the planning area borders Duy Phu commune to the North, Que Loc commune (Que Son) to the South, Duy Hoa and Duy Son communes to the East, Duy Phu commune to the West. The maximum planning project preparation time is no more than 24 months from the date of signing the planning project consultancy contract; placing monument markers: 3 months from the date the planning project is approved; investment in construction of priority items: until 2030.
