By 2024, the whole province will plant over 1.1 million trees.

In order to focus on accelerating the implementation of the Tree Planting Project in Ben Tre province in the period of 2021 - 2025, on April 12, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh signed and issued an official dispatch on emulation to implement the Project "Planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025".

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, provincial socio-political organizations, provincial departments, branches, and sectors, and People's Committees of districts and cities to pay attention to coordinating and continuing to mobilize resources to accelerate the implementation progress to achieve the goals of the Tree Planting Project in Ben Tre province in the period of 2021 - 2025, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of the Project "Planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025" nationwide.

In which, focus on competing to mobilize resources to implement the Tree Planting Project in Ben Tre province for the period 2021-2025 in accordance with the spirit of Official Dispatch No. 6494/BĐH-KT dated September 30, 2024 of the Steering Committee of the Tree Planting Project in Ben Tre province for the period 2021-2025 on mobilizing resources from cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees to voluntarily contribute funds to implement the Tree Planting Project in Ben Tre province.

Emulate and mobilize the people of the province to participate in planting, caring for and protecting scattered trees and planting concentrated forests according to the programs and plans of the locality and unit; successfully organize the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday (May 19), World Environment Day (June 5); mobilize people to plant and care for trees, arrange and beautify the landscape in residential land, production land and business land. Strive for each locality (commune, ward) to successfully implement at least 1 model of planting concentrated trees along roads, public areas... to create a model in the emulation movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Propose that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, agencies, units, localities and socio-political organizations at all levels act as the core in organizing and propagating to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers of agencies, units and all people to respond to the emulation movement to participate in planting, caring for and protecting trees in the province.

Localities organize inspection, supervision, coordination, assessment and synthesis of reports on the implementation results of the Tree Planting Project in Ben Tre province in 2025 and summarize the implementation of the Project for the entire period of 2021 - 2025 according to the prescribed time.
