With 29.5 meeting days, including 4 working days on Saturdays, the 8th Session demonstrates the determination of the National Assembly deputies and the responsibility of the preparation agencies and appraisal agencies.

Talking in the hallway of the National Assembly, delegates said that in this session, the National Assembly will spend most of its time on law-making, supreme supervision, reviewing and deciding on socio-economic issues and a number of other important issues.

Delegate Truong Xuan Cu (Hanoi National Assembly Delegation) said that the 8th Session has a huge amount of work, passing many laws and resolutions, all of which are important issues that need to be resolved to develop the country.

During this session, the National Assembly committees are also expected to have separate meetings in the evenings to receive opinions, continue to make adjustments, and present content and opinions on issues with different viewpoints for discussion in the hall.

"With the urgent and complete preparation of the submitting agencies, ensuring the time according to regulations, and the responsible appraisal agencies, I believe that at this session, the quality of the draft laws and resolutions will be improved, completing the proposed program and content," said delegate Truong Xuan Cu.

Sharing the same opinion, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Quang Huan (Binh Duong delegation) said that the 8th Session is a long session, with content that voters are very interested in and expect major decisions.

"Personally, I think that if the National Assembly focuses and passes 15 laws, many problems will be solved. However, we cannot "hurry, lose" but need to follow the spirit of Conclusion 19 of the Politburo on legislative work," said the delegate from Binh Duong.

Although the workload is "huge", delegates said that the draft laws brought up for consideration and discussion are all very urgent laws that cannot be resolved if not amended.

Delegate Nguyen Tao (Lam Dong Province National Assembly Delegation) said that in order to perfect the legal framework, draft laws must reflect the real life and difficulties of the grassroots in the development process. Law making is under the authority of the National Assembly, while the detailed and specific issues are implemented by the Government. In particular, the grassroots must also be dynamic, developing, daring to think and dare to do. The picture of sustainable growth and good social security must all originate from the grassroots.

"Currently, I am concerned and worried about overlapping planning. If there is a problem, it will be very complicated to revise the planning. In order for the country to grow and develop the economy sustainably, we need to pay attention to this issue. There needs to be solutions to overcome overlapping planning; it is necessary to perfect the planning," said Mr. Nguyen Tao.

This session has many expectations and voters also expect important decisions. Delegates believe that with the wisdom of the National Assembly and relatively complete projects, the session will achieve good results.
