Number of visitors to Da Lat increased by 41% compared to 2023

On May 1, Mr. Le Anh Kiet, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Da Lat City (Lam Dong Province) said that during the April 30 and May 1 holidays (from April 27 to May 1), Da Lat is estimated to welcome about 170,000 visitors to visit and relax (an increase of 41.7% over the same period in 2023).

According to the Department of Culture and Information of Da Lat City, domestic visitors are estimated at 162,800, international visitors are estimated at 7,200. Of these, about 115,000 are overnight guests (an increase of 47.4% over the same period in 2023).

The average room occupancy rate of 1-5 star hotels is about 80%, other types of hotels are about 75%. The number of guests staying at accommodation establishments in the city is concentrated from April 27 to 29.

Quang Nam welcomed 233,000 visitors, earning 600 billion VND

On May 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province said that during the 5-day holiday of April 30 and May 1 (from April 27 to May 1), Quang Nam province recorded an increase in the number of international visitors compared to the same period last year. However, due to the extremely hot weather during this period, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in some places, combined with high airfares, the number of domestic visitors decreased significantly compared to the same period in 2023.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, the total number of visitors and tourists staying in Quang Nam during the April 30 and May 1 holidays is estimated at 233,000, down 5% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 132,000, up 10% over the same period in 2023, domestic visitors are estimated at 101,000, down 19% over the same period in 2023.

Tourist arrivals are estimated at 152,000, down 13% over the same period in 2023, of which international visitors are estimated at 87,000, up 3% over the same period in 2023, domestic visitors are estimated at 65,000, down 28% over the same period in 2023.

Tourist accommodation arrivals are estimated at 81,000, up 16% over the same period in 2023, of which international arrivals are estimated at 45,000, up 30% over the same period in 2023, and domestic arrivals are estimated at 36,000, up 2% over the same period in 2023.

Room occupancy rates in the province are 75-90%, of which 3-5 star hotels are 80-100%, with the highest number of guests from April 28-30, 2024. Revenue from sightseeing and accommodation during the 5-day holiday from April 27 to May 1, 2024 is estimated at 600 billion VND.

Da Nang welcomes 620 international and domestic flights

In Da Nang, there are currently no statistics on the number of visitors to the city during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year. However, according to estimates by authorities, the number of visitors is estimated at about 340,000, of which international visitors increased, the domestic market decreased compared to the same period last year (during the April 30 - May 1, 2023 holiday, domestic visitors reached 286,823).

During the holiday from April 27 to May 1, Da Nang welcomed a total of about 620 domestic and international flights to the city, an increase of about 17% compared to normal days (the 2023 holiday period is 636 flights).

Also on this occasion, the Azamara Journey cruise ship operated by Saigon Tourist Company, Da Nang branch, brought more than 1,000 American and British tourists to Tien Sa port, Da Nang.

The reason why domestic tourists to Da Nang are not as expected is seen by travel agencies, tourism and service companies as being due to three main factors: too high airfares, hot weather and the holiday period close to students' semester exams.

Hotels in Thua Thien – Hue are fully booked

According to the Thua Thien - Hue Department of Tourism, in 5 days (April 27 to May 1), the locality is estimated to welcome about 110,000 tourists, with total revenue estimated at 170 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of visitors increased by 15.8%, tourism revenue increased by 9.7%.

The total number of guests who booked accommodation was estimated at 58,000 (including about 43,000 domestic guests and 15,000 international guests). The average room occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments reached 85%, most hotels, including 4-5 star hotels and homestays were fully booked during the peak days from April 27 to April 30.

The province has organized many large-scale festival events and attractive themes that have attracted a large number of tourists and locals during the holidays, such as: Hue Traditional Cuisine Week (nights from April 27 to May 1, estimated at 100,000 attendees), Thuan An Sea Calls program (April 29, estimated at 8,000 attendees), Thanh Toan Tile Bridge Night Market (nights from April 26 to May 1, estimated at 24,000 attendees).

Number of visitors staying in Ha Tinh increased by 28,000 compared to 2023

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the weather was extremely hot, especially in some places, but Ha Tinh tourist areas and spots still attracted many tourists to visit and relax.

According to a preliminary summary of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, during the holidays, tourist areas and spots across the province welcomed about 603,000 visitors (an increase of about 68% over the same period in 2023). The number of overnight guests is estimated at 51,455 (an increase of nearly 28,000 over the same period in 2023).

Some localities have a large number of tourists visiting and relaxing such as: Nghi Xuan (180,000 arrivals, more than double the same period in 2023), Ky Anh Town (150,000 arrivals), Cam Xuyen (150,000 arrivals).

In addition to visitors, the number of guests staying during this time also increased. Specifically, some tourist areas and spots achieved 100% room occupancy during the holiday such as: Thien Cam (Cam Xuyen); Quynh Vien (Thach Ha); Xuan Thanh, Phu Minh Gia (Nghi Xuan); Hai Thuong (Huong Son)... The total room occupancy rate in the whole province during the holiday reached about 85%, an increase of 10% compared to the same period in 2023.

Nghe An achieved revenue of 1,700 billion VND

According to the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the entire Nghe An province welcomed and served more than 950,000 tourists, equal to 122% compared to 2023. Of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 350,000 people. Total tourism revenue in the whole province is estimated at more than 1,700 billion VND.

This year's 5-day holiday, combined with favorable weather, has helped tourist areas and spots in Nghe An attract a large number of visitors to visit, experience and relax.

Some prominent tourist areas and attractions include: Kim Lien relic site (Nam Dan), Cua Lo beach, Quynh beach, Dien Thanh beach, Muong Thanh Dien Lam eco-tourism area (Dien Chau), Kem waterfall (Con Cuong)... In particular, Cua Lo beach is a destination that attracts a large number of tourists to swim, relax and enjoy cuisine. There are 300,000 visitors to Cua Lo beach, about 140,000 guests staying, revenue reaching nearly 600 billion VND.
