Recently, social networks have spread a video clip recording a scene of a young man standing in the middle of the street calling on technology car drivers to donate and support people in the North affected by storm No. 3, by transferring money directly to the announced account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At that moment, an old woman collecting scrap metal approached the young man and took out 50,000 VND from her pocket. She said she only had a little money and wanted to donate it, asking the male volunteer to transfer it to the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people affected by natural disasters.

The owner of the clip, Mr. La Trong Hieu (31 years old), said that the old woman's actions surprised him. Mr. Hieu knew that the old woman was a very poor scrap collector, living in a boarding house in Binh Duong province.

"She makes a living by collecting scrap metal and often comes to my coffee shop. Every day, she only earns about 30,000-40,000 VND. Therefore, when she gave 50,000 VND to support the flood victims, I was very touched. That was more money than she earned all day, and it was also all her living expenses and food," said Mr. Hieu.

After giving the money, the old lady did not wait, supervise, or check the transfer volunteer but hurriedly left. At that moment, the young man immediately grabbed her hand and gave her back 50,000 VND.

"I know her situation is difficult. 50,000 VND is a small amount for many people, but for her it is more than a day of hard work. I returned the money to her and proactively transferred 50,000 VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front on her behalf," Mr. Hieu shared.

The young man said that over the past 3 days, he has also mobilized many friends and technology car drivers to donate money to support people in flooded areas. So far, the amount of money he mobilized to transfer to the Vietnam Fatherland Front has reached more than 10 million VND.
