Accordingly, at 00:57 on the same day, the guard force of Radar Station 2511 of Regiment 251, Naval Region 2, discovered a fire breaking out in the cajuput hill area in Phuoc Hoi commune, Long Dat district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Immediately after discovering the fire, the soldier on guard duty quickly reported to the unit commander. With the consent of the superiors, Regiment 251 mobilized 25 officers and soldiers of Radar Station 2511 to deploy emergency response measures to the forest fire.

Radar Station 2511 promptly contacted the professional fire fighting force of the province and local authorities, and at the same time organized the alarm and deployed the fire prevention and fighting plan on the spot. Officers and soldiers of Radar Station 2511 used available equipment such as fire extinguishers, sickles, and steel wool to control the fire from the very first minutes.

At 1:25 a.m. the same day, professional fire prevention and fighting forces from Long Dat district arrived, took over the scene and coordinated with officers and soldiers of Radar Station 2511 to urgently extinguish the fire.

After more than an hour of effort, at 2:14 a.m., the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.
