Accordingly, at 7:35 p.m. on April 29, DK1/10 rig received an urgent distress signal from fishing boat BL93149TS, reporting that a fisherman was in distress while fishing at sea. At the time of the signal, the fishing boat was traveling from the Southeast, about 25 nautical miles from the rig.
The victim was Mr. Le Van Muoi (born in 1963, from Quang Thanh commune, Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city), who was injured in the neck while working on the fishing boat BL93568TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Quang Canh (born in 1986, Tan Thuan commune, Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province), with 4 crew members on board.
The fishermen have stabilized and are being cared for by officers and staff of DK1/10 Platform, and their health is stable. |
Immediately after receiving the information, the Commander of DK1/10 Platform urgently sent a Medical Team to receive and organize emergency treatment for the victim. Upon examination, it was discovered that the victim had two wounds on the left side of his neck. The Medical Team cleaned the wound, sutured it (8 stitches), and carefully bandaged it, ensuring the initial safety of the patient.
At 9:00 p.m. the same day, the victim was conscious, responsive, and in stable health. The Military Medical Team provided medication and instructed him to continue monitoring before bringing him ashore for further examination and treatment.
The timely organization of emergency aid for fishermen in distress not only demonstrates the sense of responsibility and high level of expertise of the officers and soldiers of DK1/10 Platform, but also contributes to beautifying the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" in the middle of the Fatherland's open sea.
