(BĐ) - On the morning of May 1, comrade Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, received a courtesy visit from the Yongsan District Delegation (Seoul City, Korea) led by Ms. Park Heeyoung, District Chief of Yongsan District. Also attending were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and leaders of the Quy Nhon City People's Committee.

Speaking at the reception, Comrade Ho Quoc Dung expressed his pleasure to welcome Ms. Park Heeyoung and the delegation to visit and work in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province; the visit continues to demonstrate the close friendship and cooperation between Quy Nhon City and Yongsan District over the past 29 years.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Party Secretary thanked Yongsan District for its attention and support to Quy Nhon City, especially the establishment of the Yongsan District Standing Office in Quy Nhon City, which has contributed to more effectively promoting cooperation activities in the fields of education, healthcare, support for the poor and cultural exchange.

Comrade Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that Binh Dinh province always considers cooperation with localities and Korean enterprises as one of the top priorities in its investment attraction policy. Currently, the province has 5 investment projects of Korean enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly 103 million USD. In the coming time, it is expected that another large Korean corporation will invest in the tourism sector in the province, making an important contribution to the development of this key economic sector.

The Provincial Party Secretary also shared some outstanding results and orientations for socio-economic development of the province in the coming time, including the plan to restore charter flights from Korean airports to Phu Cat Airport, aiming to attract more and more Korean tourists in general and from Yongsan district in particular to Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh.

Faced with changes in implementing the Central Government's policy on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units and building a two-level local government model, comrade Ho Quoc Dung suggested that the leaders of Quy Nhon City and Yongsan District proactively exchange and discuss to continue maintaining and developing friendly relations, moving towards building a model of exemplary cooperation between the two localities of Vietnam and Korea.

Ms. Park Heeyoung expressed her gratitude for the warm and thoughtful welcome of the provincial leaders and Quy Nhon City leaders for the delegation. She shared her impression of the beautiful scenery and development of Quy Nhon City during her first visit and that she will continue to experience it during her days in the coastal city.

The Yongsan District Governor highly appreciated the attention and facilitation of the leaders of Binh Dinh province and the efforts of the leaders of Quy Nhon city in developing a sustainable friendly and cooperative relationship between the two localities. She affirmed that Yongsan District will continue to accompany Quy Nhon in the upcoming development journey with the desire to expand cooperation in many fields, contributing to strengthening the comprehensive, effective and long-term cooperative relationship between the two countries of Korea and Vietnam.
