Ham Yen Bridge across Lo River under package 24 has completed 65% of the volume.

At the construction site of Ngoi La 2 Bridge, part of package 24 won by Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company, the construction atmosphere during the April 30 and May 1 holidays is very urgent. Under the hot sun of early summer, dozens of workers are still highly concentrated, divided into many groups to spread steel and pour concrete according to strict procedures, ensuring the quality of every detail.

Engineer Luong Xuan Tuyen, Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company, shared: “We identified Ngoi La 2 Bridge as an important node connecting the project sections, so we focused all our efforts to speed up the progress. During the holiday, the company still maintained a team of about 25 engineers and workers, divided into three shifts to work at the construction site. The company increased the allowance by 300% for those who worked during the holiday, which is also a great motivation for engineers and workers to be more determined.”

Mr. Le Duc Tranh, Director of the Management Board of Package 24, Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company said: “The company is constructing 20 bridges on the route. Currently, about 270 workers and technical staff are working across the route. Of which, Ham Yen Bridge over Lo River is the largest project of the company's ongoing projects with a length of 34.3 m. Up to now, the construction volume has reached 65%, and the main span of the bridge pier is expected to be cantilevered on August 20, ensuring the completion of the bridge on schedule.”

Mr. Tranh added, “The staff, engineers, and workers who work during the holidays have to put aside their joy when they cannot go home, but they are all proud to contribute to the construction of the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Expressway, a key national project. Therefore, the company always strives to ensure the progress and quality of the project and strictly follows safety procedures, not allowing even the smallest negligence to occur.”

The section from km67+800 to km77+00 of Package 23, which is being constructed by Vinh Thinh Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company 122, has complex mountainous terrain, the geological foundation is mainly rocks mixed with soil, the excavation volume is large, and it requires a combination of many technical solutions such as blasting, rock breaking, deep digging, and roadbed treatment. The company also undertakes the construction of a pedestrian underpass, and the installation of box culverts and round culverts on the section. Although it is the 30/4 and 1/5 holidays, all technical staff and workers of the unit still stick to the construction site, working in shifts continuously to ensure progress.

Mr. Pham Van Huan, Chairman of 122 Vinh Thinh Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company, said: The company has mobilized 22 excavators, 39 trucks, 12 bulldozers, 28 rollers, one drill, one grader, three loaders, two water tanks, one oil truck, four mixers, one boom pump and built a concrete mixing station to serve the construction. When the weather is favorable, the company digs and fills about 30,000 m3 of soil and digs more than 4,500 m3 of rock each day. The construction progress is being carried out vigorously to make up for the previous rainy days when construction could not be carried out.

“For the company’s staff and workers, the holiday is not a time to rest, but an opportunity to work hard and speed up outdoor projects. Most of the company’s staff and workers voluntarily stay and work during the holiday, hoping that the project will be completed and put into use soon, contributing to the local economic development,” Mr. Huan shared.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Tuyen, Director of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Works of Tuyen Quang Province (project investor) said that in response to the emulation movement "500 days and nights to complete 3,000 km of expressway" launched by the Prime Minister, the Project Management Board has proactively and drastically implemented tasks to ensure the progress of the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang expressway project, the section passing through Tuyen Quang province. Up to now, the entire route has handed over 69.4/69.7 km of land, reaching 99.57%. By April 23, the value of construction and installation implementation reached 1,611.66/4,789.751 billion VND, reaching 33.65% of the total contract value.

In particular, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, all construction units on the route mobilized human resources and a total of 967 equipment, vehicles, and machinery and deployed 111 construction teams to organize continuous construction throughout the holidays, without interruption, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility and determination to meet the committed schedule. The units are determined to strive to complete the underpass and drainage culvert items before May 15; complete the roadbed excavation and embankment before June 10, and at the same time, complete the items: asphalt concrete pavement, traffic safety system, lighting system, drainage ditches and 24 bridges on the route before December 25.
