Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directs competition goals for Ho Chi Minh City Police Club

On August 8, at the Ho Chi Minh City Police Headquarters Hall, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club held a launching ceremony, launched its team, introduced its logo and competition uniforms for the 2025-2026 season.

Also attending the ceremony were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Police, comrades representing the leaders of the Police of functional units, and professional units in Ho Chi Minh City Police.

In recent times, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security have paid much attention to directing sports work in general and high-performance sports in particular, especially professional football, with the desire to turn the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club into a strong football club in the country, returning to the position that was the pride of the Public Security force in previous years.

In July 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee transferred the Ho Chi Minh City Football Club, which is competing in the national football championship (V-League), to the Ho Chi Minh City Police and changed its name to the Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club.

Speaking at the departure ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - sent his best wishes to the team for success, steady progress on the new journey, many outstanding achievements and leaving a golden mark in the hearts of fans nationwide.

In preparation for the new season, former player - Coach Le Huynh Duc was invited to lead the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club. In addition, on the coaching bench there are also veteran assistants such as: Coach Phung Thanh Phuong, Hoang Hung and Chau Chi Cuong, who previously led the Ho Chi Minh City Club.
