Forest protection post in Quang Nam was set on fire and burned down overnight

This is a forest protection post that was assembled with a corrugated iron structure.

According to initial information, at around 11pm on January 19, when the forest protection force at the Do Ha Mi village forest protection post, Ba commune, was patrolling, a bad guy took advantage of the situation and set fire to the post. All the property inside the post, including motorbikes, was burned down.

The leader of the Dong Giang Forest Protection Management Board said that the cause of the above incident could be that in recent days, forest protection forces caught vehicles carrying illegal timber, so the subjects set fire to the checkpoint in revenge.

It is known that in July 2023, the Forest Protection Management (FPM) post of Krong Bong Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. ( Dak Lak ) was also burned down by bad guys.

Specifically, on the afternoon of July 13, a patrol team from checkpoint 1219 of the above company patrolled to protect the forest as planned. During the patrol, the patrol team heard the sound of sawing in the area of ​​block 1 of sub-zone 1219 (the area adjacent to Tram Huong - Khanh Vinh Forestry Company Limited) so they followed.

When approaching the scene, the patrol team no longer heard the sound of sawing, so they continued to follow and arrest the suspect. In the evening, the patrol team returned to the checkpoint and discovered that checkpoint 1219 had been completely burned down.
