The medical examination and treatment costs covered by the Health Insurance Fund depend on many factors such as the type of medical service, medical facility, patient population and current regulations. However, in general, the Health Insurance Fund will cover the following costs:

Medical examination: includes initial examination fee and necessary tests to diagnose the disease.
Treatment: inpatient and outpatient.
Inpatient: cost of hospital bed, medicine, medical supplies, specialized technical services...
Outpatient: examination costs, medicine, medical supplies, specialized technical services...
Surgery: costs of surgery, anesthesia, resuscitation, blood and blood products, medical supplies...
Special treatment: chemotherapy, radiotherapy, artificial kidney...
Patient transportation: in some special cases, the Health Insurance Fund may cover part or all of the costs of patient transportation.
