Previously, Nai Hien Dong Ward Police and Son Tra District Police continuously received reports from residents about motorbike thefts in apartment buildings in the area.

Through examination and investigation of the scene, the Criminal Police Team of Son Tra District Police discovered that the thefts all had the same characteristic: the thieves took advantage of people's negligence and subjectivity in leaving their motorbikes outside the yard and public areas of the apartment building.

These vehicles and properties were unattended, and there were no surveillance cameras around. The criminal police force suspected that the suspect was a local, familiar with the area, knew how to avoid security cameras, and knew the escape route to cover his tracks.

The latest motorbike theft occurred at Vicoland apartment building (Nai Hien Dong Ward) on November 25.

Thuong and her son stole 2 Yamaha Exciter motorbikes.

While Son Tra District Police were investigating, another "driving accident" occurred in An Hai Tay Ward (Son Tra District) on November 26.

Son Tra District Police quickly deployed forces to verify, and found Hua Thanh Thuong, so they summoned him for questioning.

During the investigation, Thuong confessed to having committed a total of 4 motorbike thefts, with the total value of stolen property exceeding 100 million VND. It is worth mentioning that Thuong also invited her son to participate.

Specifically, Thuong trained her son in the skills of breaking locks, wiring to start motorbikes, and then using stolen vehicles to escape.

Thuong and her son committed two thefts of Yamaha Exciter motorbikes in Son Tra District, and two other thefts by Thuong alone on Hung Vuong Street, Thanh Khe District.
