Rach Mieu 2 Bridge reaches 95% progress, striving to complete in early August 2025

The main bridge section - Rach Mieu 2 bridge is under construction and finishing items are being completed.

On June 26, 2025, Director of My Thuan Project Management Board Tran Van Thi said: "Every day, at the construction site of the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Investment and Construction Project connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces, the units continue to maintain the implementation of 3 shifts, 4 teams with a total of about 30 construction teams, 150 construction equipment, 500 workers and 83 technical staff. All are determined to strive to complete the project in early August 2025."

Up to now, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces has achieved an overall progress of about 95%. Specifically, the road section has basically completed the entire Ben Tre route and the approach road to Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, and is completing the National Highway 60 intersection at the end of the route in June 2025. The bridge section on the route has completed 4/6 bridges, including: Xoai Hot Bridge, My Tho Bridge, Tam Son Bridge and Ba Lai Bridge, the remaining 2 bridges are under construction, namely Song Ma Bridge and Rach Mieu 2 main bridge.

The Ben Tre route has been basically paved.

The main bridge section - Rach Mieu 2 bridge, on April 19, 2025, the main cable-stayed bridge was closed. Currently, the finishing items such as: guardrail, median strip, lighting, bridge deck expansion joints, fire prevention and fighting system are being constructed... and will be basically completed in early August 2025.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge construction investment project connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre provinces has a total length of about 17.6km. The main Rach Mieu 2 Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge, with a main span of (120+270+120)m, and a length of 1,971.2m. The design is a 4-lane grade III delta road. The total investment for the project is 6,810.11 billion VND from the State budget.

The starting point of the project is at Dong Tam intersection (intersection between National Highway 1 and Provincial Road 870) in Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province. The end point of the project is at about Km16+660 of National Highway 60, about 0.71km from the northern abutment of Ham Luong bridge in Ben Tre city, Ben Tre province.
