"Bridge" helps young people establish themselves and start a career

The job fair organized by the Provincial Youth Union attracted the participation of a large number of union members and young people.

In early April 2025, the Youth Union of Thanh Hoa Medical College coordinated to organize a Career Orientation, Consulting and Job Introduction Day for students in 2025. The festival attracted nearly 3,000 students to participate with more than 2,000 positions and job opportunities introduced and connected. At the program, 15 businesses, employers, and training institutions inside and outside the province carried out many activities such as: Promoting and introducing training forms, providing in-depth consultation on career orientation, vocational training, recruitment, in which many units have a need to employ a lot of labor, with high salaries and benefits such as: Phuc Thinh General Hospital, Mega Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, An Sinh Medical Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Dai An General Hospital, CPC1 Hanoi Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, Medic Medical System...

In the first 6 months of 2025, in the communes and wards of Nghi Son, Hoang Hoa, Thach Thanh, Bim Son, the Provincial Youth Center organized 4 job fairs attracting more than 6,400 young people to participate. At the fair, many businesses inside and outside the province consulted on domestic job markets and provided recruitment for workers to work at factories and enterprises in and outside the country, as well as consulting on study abroad and labor export markets, thereby helping young people choose their future careers.

Along with organizing job fairs, in the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Youth Center also coordinated with reputable and capable domestic and foreign enterprises to organize 12 labor export and study abroad consulting sessions, attracting nearly 3,000 young people from units such as Quan Son, Ba Thuoc, Ngoc Lac, and Nong Cong to participate.

Hoang Thanh Ha, Permanent Deputy Director of the Provincial Youth Center, said: “The center’s good coordination in organizing counseling, career guidance, and job introduction activities for young people has contributed to raising awareness, changing attitudes about career opportunities, and fostering and developing capacity and soft skills for young people. At the same time, it has become a “bridge” to help young people, students, and pupils have the opportunity to contact and find job opportunities in accordance with their majors at reputable units and enterprises.”

Career counseling, guidance, and job introduction for young people are key activities that the Provincial Youth Union always coordinates to organize in order to contribute to the effective implementation of Plan No. 190/KH-UBND dated August 31, 2020 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on "Organizing career counseling, guidance, and job introduction for young people in Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2021-2025". Implementing the plan, with the motto "Each youth union unit is a job counseling address, each youth union officer is a counselor", every year, youth union organizations have proactively coordinated with the education and training sector to promote career counseling and guidance activities for students; organize job fairs; and provide labor export consultation for young people. In the first 6 months of 2025, 100,000 young people and students received career counseling and guidance; 38,482 young people were introduced to jobs, of which nearly 20,000 young people have stable jobs. Besides, the Youth Union always focuses on exploiting and applying well the policies of the Party, State and province on labor, vocational training and job creation to support young people.

In the coming time, the Youth Union organizations will continue to advise the Party Committees and authorities at all levels to implement policies to support capital sources for young people to develop the economy ; at the same time, regularly monitor and grasp the labor and employment situation of young people to provide realistic career orientation. At the same time, promote the work of enrollment counseling, career guidance, job introduction and labor export connection for a large number of students and young union members, focusing on disseminating the State's policies and guidelines on vocational training and job creation for young people, thereby orienting young people to choose careers and jobs that are suitable to their abilities and strengths.
