Nhon Trach Bridge on Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 completed the first span on September 12.

The contractor will close the first two spans of Nhon Trach Bridge on Ring Road 3 from September 12 to 15. In early 2025, the two ends of the bridge will be closed and it will be open to traffic on April 30, 2025.

Information from Kumho E&C Company (Korea), the contractor for the CW1 package (Nhon Trach bridge) on Ring Road 3, Ho Chi Minh City, said that the total progress of the package has reached 84% so far.

Mr. Koo Ja Kyoung, Director of Nhon Trach Bridge Project, said that the construction site is currently working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts, day and night, including weekends and holidays.

The contractor plans to close the first two spans, the highest span in the middle of the river, from September 12 to 15. The remaining four spans will be closed by the end of 2024, and by early 2025, all the bridge spans will be connected together.

Mr. Koo Ja Kyoung added that despite many difficulties related to construction materials, the contractor is determined to overcome the difficulties to complete the project on April 30, 2025, 4 months earlier than the signed contract.

Nhon Trach Bridge is the largest bridge on Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City with a length of 2 km.

Nhon Trach Bridge is a project in Component Project 1A, Tan Van - Nhon Trach section, Ring Road 3 Project, Ho Chi Minh City.

The starting point of Project 1A intersects with Provincial Road 25B in Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province; the end point intersects with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

The project started construction on September 24, 2022 and is expected to be completed in September 2025.

The total investment of the project is 6,955 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance is 2,250 billion VND.

The project is invested with ODA loans from the Korean Government through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) and counterpart funds from the Vietnamese Government.

After the completion and operation of Component Project 1A of Ring Road 3, Ho Chi Minh City will increase connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, connect satellite cities, and promote economic and social development for the key economic region of the Southeast.
