Yen Bai Farmers' Association at all levels helps over 5,000 poor households

From 2016 to present, the Farmers' Association at all levels of Yen Bai province has propagated and mobilized member households and good production and business households to support poor households, households lacking capital and labor to develop production with an amount of over 3.4 billion VND in the form of low-interest or interest-free loans, over 22,000 working days, plants, seeds, etc. Thereby, more than 5,000 poor households have been directly and jointly helped by the Association at all levels and good production and business member households to escape poverty and become rich.

Through the movement, it has encouraged and mobilized members and farmers to promote the tradition of solidarity and mutual love, contributing to effectively implementing the poverty reduction policy of the Party and State, consolidating the great solidarity bloc, arousing the tradition of patriotism and the spirit of mutual love of the nation.

In addition, the Provincial Farmers' Association has proactively coordinated with the Central Committees and units of the Vietnam Farmers' Association and relevant sectors of the province to build models to support the development of agricultural and forestry production associated with the application of scientific and technological advances, contributing to job creation, income increase, and improvement of the lives of farmer members.

From 2019 to present, through components of the Forest and Farm Support Program, the Provincial Farmers' Association has developed and implemented 8 small projects and 40 livelihood models to help farmer members improve their production and business capacity; access information and markets; manage finances; diversify forest products; build forest certification and brand agricultural and forestry products. Coordinate, support the maintenance and establishment of 8 new cooperatives and 9 cooperative groups to link with businesses in production and consumption of products for farmers.

Along with that, the Provincial Farmers' Association has deployed 3 economic development models associated with rural environmental protection in Viet Hong commune, Tran Yen district; guided the establishment and construction of 90 professional farmers' associations, 812 professional farmers' groups and associations to support knowledge, exchange information on market prices, varieties of seedlings, share experiences in production, business, consumption of agricultural products, guide the application of scientific and technical advances in production, contributing to promoting the development of rural economy and society, improving the material and spiritual life of members and farmers.
