When will school violence end?
On the morning of June 20, the National Assembly continued to question Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son.
At the question and answer session, National Assembly delegate Nguyen Minh Tam ( Quang Binh ) asked, when will there be no more school violence in schools? How should the school be held responsible when school violence occurs?

In response, Minister Nguyen Kim Son thanked the delegate for his humane question.
“We, educators, are more concerned than anyone else that every school should be a happy school, a place where there is no more violence. However, we must also face the fact that schools are an inseparable part of society,” said Mr. Nguyen Kim Son.
According to the Minister, the walls surrounding schools are becoming increasingly fragile, the distance between inside and outside the school is gradually being erased by the internet, social networks and modern media.
Face reality
The Minister affirmed that, as a part of society, the problem of violence in modern society is becoming more complicated.
“I can say that one day there will be no more violence in schools. That will be the day when adults will stop fighting, and that day children will only look at each other with pure love,” the Minister said, adding that this is difficult, and we have to face reality.

The Minister also emphasized that "we must use all means and measures to minimize, support, and control as much as possible."
The Commander of the Education sector cited education survey statistics, showing that up to 70% of students who commit acts of violence against others have special family circumstances, either their parents are divorced, or they have witnessed domestic violence, or they have been subjected to domestic violence. This affects their psychological life, attitudes, and perspectives.
From that, the Minister of Education and Training believes that a very important part is teaching ethics and personality that determines students' behavior and attitudes, which lies in the family itself, and is the example of adults.
As for schools, it is the aspect of control, psychological support, strengthening moral education, teaching humanity and increasing positive educational activities to limit students from falling into violent behavior.
“The school will be an active supporter to control school violence. We will do our best to do this,” Mr. Son said.
