Accordingly, in this decision, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien assigned Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long to be in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's foreign economic affairs; in charge of bilateral relations and market development, trade promotion, issues related to trade dispute settlement and trade defense abroad for Vietnamese goods in European and American countries.

The decision also stated that Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long will assist the Minister in negotiating and reaching cooperation agreements on economics, trade and industry to expand Vietnam's market in European and American countries; be in charge of attracting foreign investment in the energy sector and participating in international energy organizations.

Assist the Minister in directing, researching and proposing international mechanisms and policies related to the energy sector, climate change response, and green growth of the Industry and Trade sector.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long directly directs the Department of European - American Markets. On behalf of the Ministry, directs the Industry and Trade sector of the following provinces and cities: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong.
