Kien Giang Party Secretary appointed as Can Tho City Party Secretary

Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Head of the Central Organization Committee presented the decision to the new Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh.

On January 17, Can Tho City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Attending the conference were Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Mr. Do Trong Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee and leaders of Can Tho City, Kien Giang Province.

At the Conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee announced the Politburo's decision on the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

In addition, Mr. Do Trong Hung also announced the Politburo's decision on the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Head of the Central Organization Committee emphasized that Mr. Do Thanh Binh is a capable, experienced cadre who is close to the grassroots. In his positions, Mr. Binh has always completed his tasks excellently; contributing to the overall achievements of the agencies, units and localities where he works. The Politburo believes that with his experience, Mr. Do Thanh Binh will excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Mr. Le Minh Hung proposed that the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, all levels and sectors of Can Tho City continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, sharing, support and assistance so that Mr. Do Thanh Binh, in his position as Secretary of the City Party Committee, can focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, striving to bring Can Tho to continue to develop in the coming time.

New Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh (born in 1967, hometown Thoi Binh, Ca Mau). Mr. Binh has held many positions in Kien Giang such as: Head of the Organization Board of Vinh Thuan District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Vinh Thuan District People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Thuan District People's Committee; Secretary of Vinh Thuan District Party Committee. Permanent Deputy Head of the Organization Board of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee; Head of the Organization Board of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee; Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee.

At the 11th Congress of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025, Mr. Do Thanh Binh was elected Secretary of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee.
