From the "attraction" of Thien Cam beach...

After the opening event with the Thien Cam Half Marathon 2025 in mid-March 2025, Thien Cam has attracted a large number of tourists to visit and relax. Although it is just the beginning of the dry season, there are peak days when Thien Cam Tourist Area welcomes nearly 1,000 visitors.

Mr. Pham Van Tuan - Head of Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board said: "Following the success of the winter tourism plan, in 2025, the unit will launch tourism opening activities very early. Instead of the opening activities like every year, this year, Thien Cam will launch a series of activities throughout the tourist season. After the Thien Cam Half Marathon in 2025, in the coming time, we will organize key activities such as: Beer Festival associated with culinary activities, organizing men's volleyball tournaments and women's beach volleyball tournaments, performing folk songs of Nghe Tinh, organizing night culinary activities associated with introducing local products, performing artistic surfing and music programs at the Beach Club...".

Along with the early opening of the series of activities, the Management Board of Thien Cam Tourist Area also promoted the renovation and upgrading of infrastructure to serve tourists. This year, Thien Cam has 9 more accommodation establishments and 6 newly invested restaurants. Up to now, Thien Cam Tourist Area has 36 hotels, motels and 38 restaurants providing food and beverage services. The accommodation establishments and restaurants have basically completed the renovation and upgrading work to serve tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan - owner of Tuan Phu Quy restaurant said: "Last year's business was successful, so this year I continue to rent land, invest an additional 2 billion VND to upgrade and expand the 2-storey restaurant area to serve tourists. This year, the weather is forecasted to be hot and sunny, so we expect high revenue growth."

According to statistics, in the first 3 months of this year, Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board welcomed more than 72,000 tourists (including about 25,000 overnight guests). Thereby, Thien Cam Tourist Area achieved revenue of nearly 33 billion VND, an increase of about 15% over the same period in 2024.

...to tourist tours in the area

Not only exploiting and promoting the potential of Thien Cam beach tourism effectively, at this time, Cam Xuyen district also connects with travel agencies to bring tourists to tourist destinations inside and outside the district such as: Ke Go lake, new rural tourist destinations, General Secretary Ha Huy Tap relic site, Phan Dinh Giot Heroic Martyr Memorial House, Da Bac tourist area, Dong Loc T-junction relic site...

Present at the Memorial House of Heroic Martyr Phan Dinh Giot (Cam Quan Commune), we met a group of students from Cam Xuyen Town Primary and Secondary School coming to visit and experience. This is a very meaningful activity, not only helping students discover the red address in the district but also contributing to educating them about tradition and history.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chien - Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Cam Xuyen district said: “The Memorial House of Heroic Martyrs Phan Dinh Giot, inaugurated in March 2025, has become a connecting point in the experiential tours implemented by the district. Although it was only initiated at the end of 2024, up to now, the district's experiential tours have brought more than 6,000 visitors to visit red addresses, scenic spots and new rural tourism models in the area. In the coming time, the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district will open a consulting office to provide information to tourists. This will be a channel connecting tours, bringing tourists to tourist destinations inside and outside the district".

In parallel with connecting tourist routes, the local government is currently mobilizing investors to the area to diversify tourism services. Particularly at Thien Cam Tourist Area, Cam Xuyen District continues to introduce services such as: music, water canoeing, windsurfing, homestay tourism, experiential tourism, etc.

With the synchronous implementation of many solutions, in the first months of 2025, Cam Xuyen district has attracted a large number of tourists for sightseeing and relaxation. Since the beginning of the year, Cam Xuyen district has attracted more than 155,800 tourists; of which, about 26,750 stayed. Thereby, the locality earned more than 48 billion VND in revenue from tourism activities, an increase of 15% over the same period last year.

To serve the 2025 tourist season, the local government hopes that the province will urge relevant departments and branches to speed up the auction of the restaurant planning area in Thien Cam Tourist Area; allow electric cars to operate in Thien Cam Tourist Area to Cua Nhuong fishing port; allow households to rent premises in Cua Nhuong fishing port to do seafood business and serve night markets to develop tourism products for tourists. For Ke Go Eco-tourism Area, the province is requested to give a detailed planning policy for a number of locations with potential to attract tourists and to give a policy to exploit the boat dock to serve tourists to the Temple of Heroes and Martyrs at Ke Go Lake.
