These railway documents play a significant role in accelerating the preparation of railway projects connecting Vietnam and China, a matter of great concern to the leaders of the two countries' Parties and Governments in recent times.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Construction actively urged the Chinese side to unify, complete procedures and sign an Exchange of Letters on China's technical support for the preparation of a Feasibility Study Report for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Standard Gauge Railway Investment Project. This is a very important document, creating a basis for relevant agencies of the two countries to coordinate to promote internal procedures to soon start the project.

Regarding documents in the road sector, Minister Tran Hong Minh signed 3 documents, including: Agreement between the two governments on joint construction of cross-border traffic works in the Thanh Thuy international border gate area, Vietnam - Thien Bao, China. Protocol between the two governments on simplifying import and export procedures through the Thanh Thuy international border gate, Vietnam - Thien Bao, China for employees, means of transport, construction equipment and construction materials to jointly construct cross-border traffic works in the Thanh Thuy international border gate area, Vietnam - Thien Bao, China. Memorandum of understanding on road technical cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Ministry of Transport of China.

Accordingly, the signed documents on the construction of cross-border traffic works will create an important legal basis for the two provinces of Ha Giang of Vietnam and Yunnan of China to invest in the construction of cross-border traffic works in the Thanh Thuy international border gate area, Vietnam - Thien Bao, China. Thereby contributing to promoting trade of goods and meeting the increasing travel needs of the people of the two provinces of Ha Giang, Yunnan in particular and the two countries of Vietnam and China in general through the Thanh Thuy - Thien Bao international border gate pair.
