At 4:00 p.m. on June 22 , the patrol team of the Traffic and Order Police Team of Phan Thiet City was patrolling on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street , Phu Trinh Ward, when they discovered a subject driving a motorbike with license plate 86C1-92622 violating the law of using a mobile phone while driving. The working group signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection and discovered in the subject's pants pocket a plastic bag containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine and a three-section stick about 60cm long. Through initial investigation, the subject stated his name as Vo Thanh Hieu (born in 1995, residing in Quarter 9, Binh Hung Ward , Phan Thiet City) .

Currently, the working group is handing over the person and evidence to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Team, Phan Thiet City Police for handling and investigation according to their authority.
