Storm No. 7 Yinxing still had a level 17 gust last night until this morning and is moving slowly. The storm is forecast to gradually change direction towards the sea areas of Quang Tri - Quang Ngai provinces and weaken rapidly.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 a.m. this morning (November 10), the center of storm No. 7 Yinxing was located in the northwest sea of the North East Sea, about 335km north-northeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 14 (150-166km/h), gusting to level 17. Moving westward at a speed of about 5km/h.
Thus, after 48 hours entering the East Sea, storm Yinxing continuously maintained its maximum intensity of level 14, gusting to level 17, sometimes increasing to level 14-15, gusting above level 17.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, storm No. 7 will move southwest at a slow speed of 5-10km/h and weaken. At 4am tomorrow morning (November 11), the center of the storm will be in the northwest sea of the North East Sea, about 145km north of Hoang Sa archipelago. At this time, due to the impact of cold air, the storm's intensity will decrease sharply to level 10, gusting to level 13.
At 4:00 a.m. on November 12, storm No. 7 maintained its moving direction, speed of about 10-15 km/h, gradually weakening into a tropical depression over the sea of Quang Tri - Quang Ngai; wind speed decreased to level 7, gusting to level 9.
The tropical depression then moved inland in the Central Central provinces and weakened into a low pressure area over the Central Highlands.
With the current forecast, storm No. 7 Yinxing is unlikely to cause strong winds above level 8 in the central mainland.
Due to the influence of storm No. 7, the weather in the western sea area of the North East Sea is strong wind level 7-10, near the storm center level 11-14, gust level 17, waves 4-6m high, near the center 7-9m; rough seas.
Ships operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are susceptible to the effects of storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
